Dr K G Davies has had links with India going back to 1995 when he first ran a workshop on the biological control of plant parasitic nematodes at the International Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) near Hyderabad.

More recently he has been project manager of a British Council United Kingdom India Education Research Initiative (UKIERI) project that linked Rothamsted Research, based in the UK, with the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), in New Delhi. This project involved looking at the control of nematodes to increase root health.
